Jennifer Lane is a freelance writer & naturalist based in the north of England.

She can’t get enough of the great outdoors and has been birdwatching for over 10 years. 

Jennifer has written for more than 200 publications and organisations, including British Vogue, RSPB, Wildlife Trust, The Week Junior, Dazed and CBeebies Magazine. Her first book Break was published in August 2017 with Badger Learning.

In 2018, she won the Northern Writers’ Award for her children’s book, The Second-Hand Boy. She is represented by Charlotte Atyeo at Kingsford Campbell Literary Agency.

Jennifer is a hiker, yogi and lover of all things mystical. She is a vegan and practically lives on her allotment. Follow her witchcraft and nature journey @thegreenwitchwriter.
