Manchester Fiction Prize

I came across a leaflet at a creative writing group I went to a couple of weeks ago for the Manchester Fiction Prize.

I’ve got to admit, this looks great. The competition is open to everyone over the age of 16 and asks for up to 3,000 words. Lots of flexibility with this one.

The competition is held every year in association with Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and the current poet-laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.

I’m not a massive writer of short-fiction, but hey, £10,000 prize money is something worth entering for!  The only major issue is that it’s £15 to enter, so read the guide-lines carefully.

Yes, that seems to be the only major issue…anyway, let me at least read the guide-lines and dream…
