About Me

Hi there! My name is Jennifer Lane and I’m an author and freelance writer based in Greater Manchester, UK.

In my 7+ years as a freelancer, I’ve written features for The Guardian, Vogue, The Week Junior, Dazed, BBC, Wildlife Trusts, and RSPB. I provide editorial and proofreading services and have an extensive B2B and B2C portfolio in hospitality, tech and environment. Just ask to find out more!

I am also the author of four books: The Wheel: A Witch’s Path Back to the Ancient Self (2021), The Witch’s Survival Guide (2023), The Black Air (2023) and The Second-Hand Boy (coming 2024). In June 2018, I won a Northern Writers’ Award and I’m represented by the fantastic Charlotte Atyeo at Greyhound Literary.

From November 2023, I am available for full manuscript copyediting and proofreading services (both fiction and non-fiction).

Outside of the writing world, I am a green witch and qualified Reiki Master, offering distance Reiki to clients all across the world.
